I was unnecessarily vague. What I meant was that it could have been something your daughter made up, just so you'd buy her something.

Wow, if it's true then that's such a vile design, particularly for a game designed for children. However, I'm more inclined to believe that it's just something your daughter may have said to convince you to buy something

I don't get it. By what metric would the UK be the second poorest if it was a US state? By GDP it would be the second richest.

I disagree. Sure it doesn't cost much, but it's visually displeasing, has low range and little capacity. Also, I'm guessing the quality of the interior is somewhat reflected by the price.

It is pretty far reaching, but I wouldn't say that it is 'unlikely to be any possibility' that the UK government would want to influence a high profile case, which is highly likely to impact the UK-US relationship.

The UK is in a precarious situation, with COVID and Brexit in full effect. I think that for the sake of the UK-US relationship and future trade talks, the government wants to appear aligned with the US as much as possible on this issue, whi

I worked at a very mature software company (15k+ strong) for a couple years until recently. I was on a product team. The work was depressingly unfulfilling. I'm pretty sure I wrote less than 1k lines of code while working there. There&

Perhaps you can say that Wikipedia ads are manipulative, but I wouldn't say that it makes one act 'irrationally'. It's not irrational to support Wikipedia. In my view, they drive the point home that Wikipedia's infr

I'm wondering about the token allocation: Private Placement 45% EFFORCE Ltd 20% Incentive for Mining 20% Ecosystem and Consultants 15% So to start with, 35% of all tokens in the pool will effectively already be a

Exactly. I guess the only real challenge is in ensuring that the wireless link between the controller and the vehicle is both uninterrupted and low latency.

This hit so close to home that I had to comment. I can completely relate. I tried to be different and chose a path that ended up wasting 3 years of my life with nothing to show for it (PhD, ended up dropping out). Then I joined a big compan

It makes me think that it wouldn't be unreasonable to have regulation around blocking access to email. Google provides a number of services and seemingly, if you break the T&Cs on one of them, your entire account is disabled and yo

I have mainly used vim for development and I can navigate my codebase just as seamlessly with ctags-generated indexes. I'd agree on vim being of limited utility when it comes to automated refactoring (it's a text editor after all)

The snippet about Node is confusing terminology. Node is not a framework, it's a runtime environment in which JS can run. It makes a mention of other "capable nonblocking frameworks", but is conveniently vague about which one

In the UK and least there exists a service like that - resolver.co.uk. I have used it once and got a response from the company that I complained about. I thought that was rather neat.
