In fact, a larger majority of the world consider that the USA is the very power that has kept the world at war for the last 80 years .. and they're kind of right.

I think the fact that the US is engaged in open warfare around the world has a lot to do with it. Russia has its problems - but it hasn't deployed $Trillions of military assets around the world in order to project power, like the USA

I gave up on Apples' Music app .. and just use VLC, now. There is something very liberating about using VLC on iOS, and managing my own music archive, manually. Sure, it feels like 1996 all over again - but at least I know exactly whe

Back in the day (early-mid 80's), PC-Write was kind of like the SublimeText of the era. Multiple-select was indeed one of the key reasons to use it, as a programmers editor, even though it was intended for more general-purpose word pro

Oil companies are the industry, in military-industrial-complex. (Note that it should really be: military-industrial-pharmaceutical complex, since that is a more accurate description of the conglomerates currently destroying the planet..)

I have the position that I've had no interest in it, up to this point, for the simple fact that it hasn't functioned as a stand-alone device, general-computing'ish.. until now. For me, the tethering angle has always been the

I've been living in a comfortable, if but small, house, about 15 years now. Its my family home. One of my kids was born in it. That can never be explained in terms of capital.

I've always been highly suspicious of those who resort to dialectic, and only dialectic, in their reasoning. I think its only a small part of the picture - that there are ways of synthesising ideas without requiring dialectic material

I just want my own info. Like, I need to see it. Problem is: there is no simple way to see my own info in this leak. I either get a third-party involved, and thus make the leak worse, or I .. get everyone elses data and have a look at it
