I don't think it's so much "sav[ing] face" as much as it is getting the message out they fully support open source. The long term play is azure which is their big money maker. 1/3 of deploys on azure (IIRC) use linu

That's exciting. I applaud MS for openly expanding to other platforms but the confusing profile names need to be simplified. IMHO, there should be two profiles .NET Universal and .NET Windows (a superset of .NET Universal).

I'm still confused on which .NET profile is entirely guaranteed to work on all platforms.

The minor gripe I have with Docker is how they're tying swarm into the docker tool. I can see a future where sysops will use the tools built into Docker because it's included just like how Windows made IE6 the default browser.

Still dont get why sql uses all caps for keywords. It's one of the few languages that has it as a best practice. I can read C/JavaScript/go just fine without all caps. I do it anyway to conform.

Most startups do not work 12 hour days anymore. The days of startups offering less pay, some equity and overworking you are over. There are too many startups that need engineers. They would just move on to the next one. Retaining good engin

I don't even notice the `if err != nil` anymore. Is there a more elegant way to handle errors in a concurrent language than returning error values? In general, exceptions do not work well within async programming. Too many JavaScript d
