Let me correct you here: it's not the speed of light the issue here it's the parasitic capacitance that grows with the size of the subarray. From that point of view, when the array is large enough, the particular technology you ad

What is an element store? An object store? Unless I'm not understanding the use case, if this is a persistent object cache, defining an interface on each type you want to store sounds like a lot of overhead... Why not implementing a pe

If I get the point of the article, the author would argue that cpp provides some form of closure (you can code a macro that generates a function that behaves somewhat like a closure if you want...)

Looking at how software has evolved in the last 30 year I will make the following statement: nothing that exists today requires 12 years of coding. :)

Organized crime has nothing to do with the issues of opening a startup in Italy! What is missing is an ecosystem for startups: no VCs, fair amount of bureaucracy and challenging employment laws. However, you get great engineers, passionate,

I have to agree with moru here. The latency on memory access will be negligible with respect to the latency of any io operations, even within the same data center. In my experience anything that involves the OS is >> 1us. Also beware

Not sure you need tracking for this: if you let the camera still, you should obtain a stripe that will vary in luminosity as the planet passes, which basically integrates the sampling point for you. (This of course is limited to short perio
