I don't have one myself yet, but the Power-Z KM002C [1] looks like it can do most/all of that. There's an example on their unboxing video [2]. [1]: https://www.chargerlab.com/power-z-km002c-is-now-available-o.

With Face ID, there's also the risk that a malicious viewer who is holding your phone could point it at you and get it fully unlocked before you are able to react. A cop who is standing at the window of your car would absolutely be cl

JDownloader [1] is a pretty good all-purpose download tool. It's a GUI tool, though, so it fills somewhat of a different niche than youtube-dl. [1]: https://jdownloader.org/

yt-dlc was forked off of youtube-dl during the youtube-dl takedown last year, but has itself been largely unmaintained for months. yt-dlp [1] appears to be by far the most active fork. [1]: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt

Ugh, yes. The MagSafe silicone case I bought last fall got nicks in the corners within a few months of use, and they've been slowly but steadily growing ever since. Supposedly the case has a one-year warranty and I can take it in to

I would love having a slightly thicker phone. The iPhone 12 Pro Max is good enough for most days, but having around 25% more battery would be welcome, especially for weekends when I'm not sitting at a desk with a charger. Just make th

There's at least one more: Rachel Bryk, a developer working on the Dolphin GameCube/Wii emulator [1], was driven to suicide back in 2015, likely in part due to transphobia and harassment [2]. [1]: https://dolphin-emu.or

Of course they could always add something like PIN/QR code/plugging the iPad into the MacBook for local connections - but that will never happen with an Apple that prioritizes simplicity over functionality.

Unfortunately, the sideloaded-JIT support seems to have been an accident, as Apple killed it off in 14.4. https://twitter.com/altstoreio/status/1354096048650809349

I have a couple of those, and they work fine. The only downside is you can't use wired charging and wired headphones at the same time unless you use a third-party splitter, none of which have great reviews. The MagSafe charger kind of

The emphasis was more on the "no web interface" part. In 2020, I feel like Subversion is significantly less common than git, so having to install SVN + possibly learn SVN commands is a moderate barrier to browsing the code.

That's the single remaining killer feature of RAR for me. I think the last time I actually used it was years ago when pulling a backup off of a degraded DVD-R, but it still provides a bit of peace of mind for long-term storage.
