So punish them for not verifying? We're already very familiar with the concept that ignorance of the law isn't a valid reason for violating the law. What's wrong with that in this scenario?

Usually when the solution is "just remember to do X", you've found a bad solution. Re-approach the problem from a different perspective - companies don't value their customer's privacy enough. What solution can we p

I picked out GEB randomly at a bookstore like 20 years ago. The cover grabbed my attention and I started flipping through it and was instantly curious. My mom ended up buying it for me, on Valentine's Day I believe, ha. Read the whole

But many people don't care about having extra sunshine in the morning and would much rather have an extra hour in the evening. Many probably consider "actual day and night cycles" to be a man made construct anyway. There'

A few years back at DEFCON it was supposed to be the movie during movie night. I showed up and at the last minute it was changed to something else. Cue my immense disappointment. :(

I felt the substance of the message more than the details. Does it really detract from the essence of it? Sometimes just the realization of the underlying meaning is all that is needed to be beautiful, even if the words aren't perfect.
