Companies like Hover have a user/password scenario unlike e.g. an email provider: users only visit their site one/two times a year (to renew a domain or whatever). So I wonder if they should instead allow "authentication-by-email". Basicall

For any product, the name is part of the "user story", although to a wildly different degree. In your case, the user story starts with "Joe finds and downloads your software". And the argument here, really, is how effectively "Ninite" as a

If I want to use bulk-import to move contacts to a more discreet sharing service, doesn't that make me the opposite of an attention whore? I doubt that most people with many contacts have acquired them for the specific purpose of seeking at

The "four hours a day" figure cannot be construed as evidence of laziness. The article states that that average includes the unemployed or part-time workers. In fact, same article mentions a 7.5 hour average when only working days are count

Gold's inherent value (industrial uses) is nowhere near the price it trades at. You could say that gold can't fall to zero because of that, but if it still devalues even 10 times, you can bet that people will panic. Bottom-line - nothing is

Gold coins have no intrinsic value, either. Gold is just another divisible and non-perishable carrier of human-assigned value.

The exam was probably mostly about the algorithms involved in managing FIFO data. Whether you extend an array list or create a custom class wrapping a buffer does not change the algorithm. Hence the blank look from the teacher.

Well, JavaScript's language features are actually not that shoddy. Better than PHP, that's for sure. I think what made JS (and PHP, too) great is not some PR trickery, but the fact that it is genuinely more useful in many situations. It is

It seems that both sides - employers and job applicants - have to reduce their biases... Which the article suggests.
