I think what you say is overall plausible, however in western Europe many more people would know what happened in Chernobyl. To be frank I am not sure that would be the case in Russia tho, and even more so in the cohorts of young soldiers t

There’s a very nice book about this subject called “Dark Pools”. I found it very enjoyable, you certainly seem to have the knowledge to enjoy it even more :-)

If you decide to move to another country you might as well decide to learn the basics of the language - mind you, knowing how to count/read basic signs/ask for food gets you a long way. You can learn this in weeks/months almo
