Tragically hilarious from an outside perspective that a leader sees all the expense of the soft-power the US has paid so much for as "freeloading". Either you are the world leader and invest to stay in that position, or you'r

The second link is exactly what I was hoping for, but only seems to exist on the archive. I wasn't able to locate it or other detailed information with my cursory searches. I'm glad it was preserved.

Remember the good old days of editing PIF (Program Information Files) files [⁂]? Ah yeah. Googling a bit, it looks like a lot of this lore has just been lost. I don't know if there are modern explanations of PIF files kicking around. ⁂

We, as in the rest of the world, need to get off our butts and take advantage of this self-own, forced-error of a presidency. It's the perfect time to build industry outside of the USA which has shown itself to be a bad partner, unreli

My understanding is he used the carcass of another AV tool to bypass signature requirements which is understandably grey (there's an argument for it being transformative, IMO but IANAL).

I'm sorry, but I believe your argument is extremely weak. The Nintendo/Game Boy analogy doesn’t hold water. Nintendo doesn’t give you a filesystem on the Game Boy, but it certainly doesn’t stop you from implementing one yourself.

While your first statement is reasonable, your second is uncharitable and hostile. If Windows won't allow use of the filesystem as a database or cannot heuristically detect when a folder is being used as a store of data, Windows is wro

Terrible headline. The single hair-like electrode outperforms the connection performance (longevity/signal to noise) of a single electrode from a 21-lead EEG.

As a curiosity, is there a more heuristic approach and/or toolchain integrated approach that could be used for disassembly of stdlib components? For example, a crate that could be linked in to provide some "well-known" object

I don't live in America, I just watch from the sidelines, sad at the state of the world's leader failing to be rational about most every social issue.

Do remote entity references still work in XHTML? XML had its issues but did have a decent toolbox of powerful if not insecure primitives.

I posit: For every topic of A vs B where A and B are related in some way, no matter how small, there exists an argument C where two people take increasingly opposed positions about which is better.

This is quite sad. PBS and NPR were jewels of the American system. The right-wing has latched on to the message that all public-funded media that isn't right-wing-biased is _bad_ and are trying to kill it everywhere. We are constantly

I wish Git had a way to "skip" a commit for blame for mechanical changes like this. It's the one big shortcoming I keep running into. A commit should be able to be marked as "blame-free" and git blame should then wa

Because it's the one true way, and tabs are WRONG. Also Vim > Emacs, the new BSG was better than the old BSG, TNG is the best Trek, and all the other hashed-out flamewars of the 90's and 2000's. :)
