Every time I see the expression "olympic spirit" I don't think anymore in selfless athletes doing their best to compete in the name of their country. What I see is a draconian institution doing its best to protect a $US45 billion brand by t

Last night when I wrote that I was in bed with my iPad. Now I checked it out on my MBP running Chrome and it looks great. Thanks for making this!

I think the monospace will worth the wait. But the current fonts already hit a sweet spot, UI development for mobile apps. They will look amazing on the retina screens of iOS devices.

As I am also a cable quitter, I really wanted to check it out. But it didn't work on Safari iOS 5.1.1. Could you take a look at it? Thanks!

Yeah, I had the same thought. But what if you turn it into a game? Imagine this... 1. User tries to enter a bad SN or whatever; 2. You challenge him to let's say file X valid bug reports; 3. User gets 50% off or something like that. It coul

Politicians got pissed for a government branch doing a better job than some corporate campaign contributor? Where's the news in that? Now seriously. We'd be better off coding something out that emulates monkeys doing their jobs. Really.

Any privacy we could had using Skype was dead the same day MSFT bought them. It was just a matter of time to make it official. What's gonna be from now on? Stay put, and watch it.

They already make these products. They only don't design them. ;) Anyway, on a sidenote... The Apple of yesterday had to prove itself everyday in order not to get killed by bigger players; today Apple has to prove itself every single day i

Sure we could. But then what would be the difference between us and them? Freedom of speech goes both ways and that's good. Without a good counterpoint constructive arguments can't come to life. In other words, contrast helps you see thing

Not a bad intro to ObjC message syntax. Even though the article has few mistakes. Most notably ObjC syntax does not have functions that are called, it has messages that are sent to objects and classes. In the end all messages are "translate

That is happening almost in every country in the world. Privacy, freedom of speech, you name it. Blood was spilled to assure we have rights. Even though, most people are consistently waiving them and they seem not to care about it. How is i

IoC is a very useful concept for any OO language. For instance, ObjC uses it a lot through protocols. More info on that subject can be found here: http://martinfowler.com/bliki/InversionOfControl.html The above link has some very interes

If you code responsibly in ObjC there's no need to write comments. Therefore, if someone "has to" comment ObjC code there's something wrong with their practices. The same holds for almost any language, but in ObjC that's just natural.

That's a great vision, but I think it's highly unlikely to happen. A scenario I can see developing itself would be one where Samsung, LG, or HTC buys WebOS. Either, to have an edge in this patent mess, and/or in response to Motorola acquis

I don't think they mean to do that. If so, where would be apps developed? iPads? Sure not. We need Macs as much as they do.
