Your (positive) relationship with him is way more important than trying to change his mind politically.

His Dad will be smart enough to know these questions are trying to set him up. Maybe try having a real conversation and not trying to change his mind. After all, there is a good chance you will be that Dad in the future (no matter how hard

This is pretty easy to summarize from my point of view. 1) There is 0 non circumstantial evidence that Trump had a sexual encounter with a minor. There is 0 evidence (circumstantial or not) that there is any prepubescent children involved.

What evidence of doing wrong exactly? Is there non circumstantial evidence?

There is actually no evidence that isn't circumstantial. Or correct me if I'm wrong? All the evidence I've seen is person A knew or spoke to Epstein. Where is the evidence linking any person to a specific sexual encounter?

I bet if you stop watching national popular news outlets and instead focus on local politics you'll find them much more tame. Of course this depends on where you live. IMO People focus way too much on national politics and not enough o

Agreed those things exist, in most contracts one or both parties feel they are not getting a 'fair' deal and will renegotiate terms, this is very common.

Wait so the US is supposed to provide security at no cost forever? Are you talking about NATO or something else? The only thing I see a problem is all countries paying the same rate to be in NATO.

Maybe not scams, but I agree they are bad. I always tell people to donate as local as possible. Ideally local Shelters, Churches (that take in everyone) etc...

I would take my insurance over public German healthcare in an instant. I would not trade. Now maybe when I stop working that may be a different comparison. And its not like there is a choice, voting for a D doesn't magically get German

What are you suggesting is the alternative? Please don't reference small homogenous countries the size of Minnesota as something that will work for the US.

It's really not that hard to find someone to go to check a address, redditors do this all the time. It should be expected as basic journalism, especially with high claims.

What makes you think this argument is popping? Or that it's only being discussed now, because of 1 article on a domain I've never heard of?

Transition periods are always difficult, but they've always reached some equilibrium. Right now the spread between the two seem higher (not sure they are) but the system will bring them closer together.

These are competitive on quality, but are they on price and scale? How many US homes have a Bosch/Miele washer/dryer vs LG/Samsung? (Outside of NYC).

And then the Chinese end up stealing any actual IP that may get the US company ahead by being there. Also, is it still difficult to bring profits back to the US? Damn'd if you do, dam'd if you don't.

Aren't there laws already against that? It's happened before but is it common, do we have evidence that it is prevalent in Software Engineering?

Do you think Salaried software devs should have overtime? Even if paid well (multiples of median salaries across industries).

I'd like to see the median wage+benefits of the '996' worker vs the median. I think unions have a place in the lowest margins , but not the 996 tech worker making 2x median salary (my assumption).
