Oh I know they are good and I see them almost daily on the road. But it is a completely different market. Sprinter/Transit will NOT replace F250s.

That is easy to say on the surface for a simple build script. How do you orchrestate a full CI/CD pipeline where you need state? You just move that complex logic to another monolithic script with its own problems?

I tried this but then I need to mock the scripts or other external dependencies to truly test the workflows, became too much pain.

This! All discussions so far seem to be around building artifacts which is the easy part. How to make the full CI/CD pipeline work with GHA is a pain. GHA has no state mechanism easily used, you have to create it all yourself.

Jenkins has it's own set of issues. The theory behind GHA is you *should* be able to keep everything in git and not need a another service with it's own abstractions. But Actions just screws this up. I consider them both to be equ

For me, no. Spend days trying to get it to recreate a production environment workflow. It is too different than production.

I tried act, on the surface it seems like a godsend. Not until you try to use it do you realize it's almost impossible to recreate any moderately complex workflow. You HAVE to run it against a container, so if you're using self ho

Lol, these people do not care about sprinter vans. The online crowd has such a love for sprinter vans, I don't see anyone talking about them except a very small group. The people around me have F250s + a trailer twice the size of a sma

The same reason we don't like wagons. The 70s/80s screwed them up big time. They were big ugly garabge cars. I love fast wagons, but they are dying here.

Many aren't reading the bible and thinking it's plausible, or fact driven. However people read it and find connection to their past/present and somehow brings them peace. No different than any other old philosophical old book

Why not look online and get a "hifi grade" older used one? Is it a budget issue or sound quality issue?

I'm a sysadmin / infra engineer by trade. DNS is something I stopped hosting myself because it's always DNS and when it goes down everything else does to. Email/DNS I outsource, everything else I homelab.

Who would be your market exactly? What you're describing is possible but you would need to market it differently if selling to non-tech people. Now if you could make something like this https://oxide.computer/ for home

Yeah how does that work if you statistically have a outage > 24 hours a few times a year? How long does that last? Also generators are still cheap compared to batteries?

Same, it is the least feel-good drug of any I have tried. But I do love a good German beer with a steak or burger, amazing. Or a cold beer at a baseball game. But I feel horrible after.
