That's an interesting take, I didn't even consider the privacy issues of remote medical sensing.

Why wouldn't a model that knows how to drive in winter-conditions be better than one that doesn't? There are more effective actions than hitting the brakes and hoping for the best available, one of which is to continue driving the

I've done a ton of keyboard only on XP and 7 - it's mostly fine. I would like to murder the group of fools that managed to make a GUI for a touchscreen service program that was unusable without mouse and disabled the touch unit fo

Damnit, that was about as disappointing as my sexual dreams. Why do I always wake up before there is some action?

I'm curious, what's normal to do with all the waste from desalination?

I know the feeling. Years later when you realize there definitely is a hole, but it might be in the second chapter of some pretty basic book, that you have skimmed several times without finding it, because it is so basic.

I would say safety dictates that the car would still have to be safe when such external signals are either missing, wrong or flat out hostile. At that point I don't really see the value they provide.

Yeah... Used to work for a small start-up that had a product to basically automate a switchboard used for elderly care. It was fun when the need for manual operation suddenly came around. Didn't have the manpower, nor the actual switch

I don't understand reforestation in the sense of plant X amount of trees, and feel good about yourself. Won't this happen naturally at a similar rate if you just leave it alone? I'm pretty sure my yard would be covered in dif

I claim this as the Norwegian "Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær." Seeing as my version is a rhyme, it's obviously the superior one.

I think knowing the temperatures and such amounts to predicting the foggy state. Detecting it could look much different. Visual observation is obvious. With purpose built glass, perhaps one could look at electrical properties on the inside

You're forgetting it's not actually AI. They'll perform well at whatever task we adequately train them to do. It's an arms race - we train them to defeat anti air traps, the adversary will move the goalpost somewhere els

How's the reliability of those these days? At a previous gig I witnessed about a 15% failure rate within 3 years.

My god Dell's webshop is a steaming pile of fun. I've only had to deal with being unable to order months on end - this sounds much more friendly!

I absolutely love it. It also gives nice feedback while driving, as acceleration sounds different from coasting, different from braking. Some of this is probably just unavoidable switching noise, but I can't help but feel it's als

I get the feeling it's path-dependent. If I start uptown and you start downtown the algorithm could potentially show us two different cities. So we would have to agree on a city beforehand.

It's completely unnecessary. In a system capable of doing that, you might just as well boil your eggs at the source. Thermal equilibrium, and all.

And how long will it take us to boil of the oceans (as in fusion) assuming 5% year over year increase? How has energy consumption behaved before around the time of paradigm shifts and plentiful "free" energy?
