This does not work for non tech, non Silicon Valley employers. Non tech businesses that depend on foreign skilled labor will never be able to compete.

Why does it need a 3d model ? It looks like it is just doing inpainting which can be done with a single image.

Can it take an input image instead of a prompt ? The generated model are good but 30 mins is still a lot of time to experiment with prompts.

Yes. Anybody can create tryout pipeline using Stable Diffusion + inpainting + controlnet. The moat is gone.

That might be an exception. People in leadership roles are in general assertive irrespective of gender. I think the parent comment was talking about dynamics in a regular team meeting where people are more or less equal role.

You can choose the middle between AWS and baremetal. Something like DO apps. They provide managed deployment, db, object storage etc

It means using less number of bits to store float values. This reduces the memory/compute requirement at the cost of making model less precise.

This might be controversial but I think the situation cannot be changed with scholarships. Somebody with the will can do courses in community college and become employable. The way to solve is by more parental guidance. American parents usu

Not believing in it does not make it false. We are all made of earth and after death we go back in earth and then born again. So in a sense reincarnation happens but without the memory.

I have been thinking about this lately. Things that are recently developed like language skills are easiest to replicate by machines. But things that too took a time to develop like walking and grabbing are still something that machines str

Humans are born with millions of years of evolutionary training embedded in their dna and brain. We are not born with nothing.

I am finding it pretty useful. It is not a magic wand that will do all the work right away. But if you keep on chatting with it and providing it feedback it does what you want. I no longer search google for programming question. 8/10 t

But I am sure prompt understanding improves with more text data. Same with reasoning ability.

The competition is only increasing which will drive down the price. Right now users have 3 main providers: OpenAI, Anthromorpic and Google along with dozen open source models.

The real question is "How can you prove that somebody/something has the ability to think ?". If LLM can reason and answer satisfactorily based on context I would deduce that it can think. What is the argument that human does

What does it has to do that will qualify it as artificial intelligence ? In my opinion, all the ingredients are there for artificial intelligence. Somebody just need to stitch everything up. It can understand text, reason about it, identity

I hope that open source LLM catches up. Then you can have your personal LLM running on desktop that can look at your personal files and can search internet.
