I usually don't bitch about Apple pricing, since I personally consider ROI for most Apple products pretty OK. But headphones that costs 2.5 times the price of my Apple TV? Nah, thanks. 250 for headphones is just a joke. Divide that pr

Thats part of it. Unwanted help is definitely an issue. However, it doesnt end there. The more religious a person is, the more they take their time to explain to me how bad they think my situation is. Patronisation, pittying, and a gener

I recently "upgraded" from a desktop to a laptop. This marks the end of an era for me. I always had a relatively powerful desktop at home, mostly running 24/7 since I couldn't be bothered to wait for it to boot. This

Isn't this a nice case against comments in code? Everything that your compiler can't parse is a waste of time. Where is #todo if you need it?

Looking forward to this years installment of talks. I sort of wonder if this year will be a bit more technical again. The last 5 years felt like technical topics faded into the background in favor if social issues and knitting ...

This is a pretty clear case of stalking. When children cut the connection to their parents, it is super easy to side with the poor mother. However, people tend to ignore that the pressure for the children must have been quite high to go to

You are falling for a pretty common misunderstanding. While many blind people use text-to-speech in combination with a classical "screen reader", that is not the end of the story. There is another major technology called Braille

As written above, I know about the intro ads, but they are only being done in the podcast version. The youtube versions of the same talkshows dont have a single bit of advertisment for me, neither at the beginning nor in the middle.

I am guessing in many cases, there is no money left for humidifiers. You start out with the idea that you want to build a passivhaus. But you still have a limit on how much you can spend. So all the ventilation stuff is being installed, a
