This helps except that it needs to be turned off frequently for viewing and taking photos. It would be great if there were something like the smart invert setting for grayscale but I doubt that will ever happen.

Have you tried the Apple Watch? I don't find it addictive at all. On the contrary, it's significantly reduced my phone use and nearly eliminated the need for taking my phone when going out if not for missing some essential functio

I'm surprised Lyft/Uber hasn't been brought back yet. It would be extremely useful to have on hand now with the cellular model.

Have they fixed the regression with background apps being aggressively killed introduced in iOS 13.2? I still run into it daily even on iOS 13.7 with e.g. Yelp and Google Maps.

I am really looking forward to this feature. Maybe I'm alone in this but I have constant connection issues switching between my Mac and phone when using AirPods (especially frustrating when answering calls).

This is all I'm interested in as well. Kinda surprised Family and Premier plans aren't reversed, i.e. $20/mo for individual premier and $30 for adding family members. Seems like that would be simpler and a lot more appealing.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Strongly prefer Apple Music over Spotify and am already paying for iCloud. I'm on a $99/year annual subscription for Apple Music though, so this would come out to around $5 more a month for me ($8.2

Is Apple Watch available on any prepaid plans yet? I'd love to use the cellular model for its intended purpose of reducing phone use but there seems to be no affordable options, at least in the US. E.g. the prepaid T-Mobile Connect pla

Apple Music has a match feature, but from what I understand the songs include DRM. iTunes Match is DRM-free.

There is a Rust parser being worked on for Org that looks promising. It would definitely help adoption to have another complete implementation aside from the elisp source. https://github.com/org-rs/org-rs

Apple Card does this (and obviously Apple Pay in general). It's not nearly as powerful as Privacy though since the card numbers can't be cancelled or paused from what I can tell.

They were rolling out a free cashback program until recently. Now it's oddly locked behind an overpriced monthly plan.

I've been using Taxfyle recently. It can be a little more expensive but saves time since all you have to do is upload forms for a CPA to fill out. There's also TaxAct if you want to do it yourself. I refuse to give money to Intuit

It's possible to customize these as well, see e.g. https://www.hcs.harvard.edu/%7Ejrus/Site/cocoa-text.html , http://www.deepsky.com/~misaka/MacOSX/DefaultKeyBinding.dict .

This is the most promising project I've come across: https://github.com/glacambre/firenvim , although it only applies to the browser. The last time I tried it out it had some performance issues though.

One missing piece worth noting is Vimium doesn't seem to support navigating preferences, bookmarks, etc. in Firefox or anything in the toolbar. Not sure if that is possible solely with the WebExtensions API.

This is great, thank you! Although, the name seems like a bit of a misnomer since there's not much in common with vim aside from the HJKL keys. It's more like EasyMotion or avy-mode.

That would improve the completion, but ideally 1Password should allow me to select the login myself within the app modal (by navigating to "all logins" with the filter deactivated), and then add the intent URL for me.

Agreed on all those points, especially the desktop app which was ultimately the breaking point for me. The only thing better about Dashlane right now is the UI on the iOS app IMO.

You can measure for yourself with a sensor[1]. In my experience all of those have an impact, but can be mitigated by things like a HEPA filter and using an exhaust fan while cooking. [1]: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id
