Workaround: You can force most of those phone trees into a failsafe button pressing mode by pressing 0 until it gives up on voice. You shouldn't have to play the system to make it work reasonably, but...

Of all the people I know who list this as a reason, it barely ranks. The bigger one is the growing gap between income and cost of living right above time and energy. Most of the reasons have intersecting causes.

There's a free tool that integrates with Ableton Live to make these easier to set up. I can't remember the name and Google is (as usual) useless for finding it, but I do remember it wasn't updated for Live 11 last I checked.

I don't think I can reason about real-world applications for a show's themes without considering the real world. That's the topic of discussion here. One of the actors in TOS was a closeted gay man who spent part of his child

You're talking canon. I'm talking fan theories. Canon is limited to the perspective of the people who had to go through the wringer of studio meddling and appeasing broadcasters. There's a reason Discovery is the first to hav

People always get confused about dystopias, it seems. Even Star Trek's Federation can be seen as a post-apocalyptic dystopia. You don't get to see much of life outside a few locations from the perspective of Starfleet's freak

More to the point: debating the goofballs takes time away from hearing what more moderate people have to say. The Alex Joneses and Billy Grahams of the world take air from people who (for example) think gay frogs sound like a fun time, or f

One person's annoyance is another person's feature. Growing up, there were times when the coupons in those ads were the only reason we got to eat out from time to time. Going through them discussing what to have was fun.

Microsoft had to make fundamental changes to stop its slide into irrelevance, and the old corporate culture is still trying to reassert itself. There's a battle of cultures happening and it might turn out New Microsoft was a last gasp.
