Good article as it gives advice on what to do proactively as a community to assure your relevance in these LLM times. The steps taken of small, compressed 'LLM docs' make me think of ideas of the semantic web. That one never gaine

Had this when playing streams from PC to TV. Had to increase gamma a whole lot, just increasing brightness does not really help.

To me it looks like square pixels amount to what the artists intended their work to look like. Come on, how do you imagine settler's wagons to look like? The moons? Also the grass with crt-royale looks absolutely rubbish to me.

Take a look at https://github.com/containers/ramalama/tree/main#credit-wher... for comparison. Ollama really should improve their acknowledgements and check license conformance more thoroughly.

Not at all. If everything is proprietary you will run into many dead ends. This is totally different than with e.g. standard PC hardware.

I think Blender was (and still is) exceptionally good at community building. Just freeing your product might not get you enough traction by itself.

Wake up. That's what's happening to your gifts you released under permissive licenses. Enterprises like AWS, Apple etc. build their business on them and don't want to give anything back.

These may be sold as points for microservices but in the end are wishful thinking. No microservice can turn statefulness into stateless, the state still needs to be handled somewhere. Microservices also do not magically improve uptime or an

The standard library does not give you a possibility to do async HTTP requests, that's what httpx does. As Python still heavily relies on async this is really a bummer.

Hmm, why did the author use Perl for convsion if they didn't know it? Besides of regex (which is everywhere albeit in different dialects), I don't think Perl knowledge gives you very much nowadays.

An idea to improve your sanity re planning: Communicate a deadline of talks two weeks before the event and accept nothing 7 days after that. Some people need hard deadlines to get their work done.

And I think a lot of it is because of defaults. Whenever I open an emacs without my usual configuration of doom-emacs I have to admit it looks dated. Add to that default keyboard shortcuts not working and you've alienated practically e

Although we will need to add one additional unsafe block once we migrate to the 2024 edition because we use std::env::set_var in main  This is unsafe rightfully and should not be used without checking. It's just undefined beh

Why was dm->cached_state storing -12 instead of a pointer? Most likely this happened because earlier during suspend, dm_suspend() assigned dm.cached_state = drm_atomic_helper_suspend(adev_to_drm(adev)). The callee drm_atomic_helper_suspe
