What color space does this use? Is it HSV? You should consider moving to something more perceptually based; all these look slightly off to me.

I'm not sure that makes sense for typescript. It's aiming to be a very conservative extension of JS. Adding new features moves away from that goal.

Sorry, the user is never wrong. This is an interface problem, and the interface is terrible .

Have you been to Tokyo? The subway consists of several disjoint systems that don't connect in reasonable ways, each with its own incomprehensibly different payment system, and it stops running at around midnight. New York beats it

I'm sure that the main mechanism will be the existing dispatch queue libraries Apple's other languages use.

Haskell's module system is kind of weak. Something like an ML variants, with interfaces being defined separately from implementations, is much nicer.

Sure it does. In object oriented languages, you still have to write all of the same code, you just group it by what data it affects. In (strongly typed) FP, you're writing the same code, but now it's grouped by functionality, ra

Awesome, this will be helpful in tracking down some weird behavior I'm currently seeing in vim...

I find that CommandT (a vim package to emulate Sublime's cmd-t) and getting autocomplete working nicely gets me 95% of the Sublime features I cared about, so I moved back to vim about a month ago after eight months of Sublime.

I wear contacts, and sometimes, if one of my eyes is irritated, I only wear one. It takes about half an hour for my brain to adjust to using only one eye (my vision is bad enough that I essentially cannot use an eye without a contact). It

I don't think you understand what "investing" is. Investing is giving money to someone (or even just a bank) in exchange for something which might change value. That person is then going to go spend the money somewhere else

Hindley-Milner style type inference, which is done by MLs and is similar to what is done in Haskell, uses unification, which is a large part of how Prolog reasons, to determine if two types with still unknown subparts can be the same. You

Not true. GSM texts are encoded in a 7-bit scheme, and twitter started using 8 bit encodings. 7 * 160 = 8 * 140.

Wait, so closures for encapsulation are bad because they allow encapsulation? You're complaining that you can't get access to private member functions this way? Isn't that what encapsulation is for??

I'm told by someone who's taught one that the completion rates on free MOOCs are in the low single digit percents of people who signed up, if that. But, as he points out, this is really ok, as people are learning as much as they
