(Note, I get really petty about this stuff) My solution is like said above: return it to sender. If your post person is trying to keep it your problem, make it USPS' problem: when returning to sender put it in a postbox that your post

I can't believe https://futurecoder.io/ hasn't been mentioned! It has an integrated Python environment in the browser, so the learner can hop right in! That's not even the best part though; I love how well si

I actually don't think it does mean something else. iliana is quite technical; I would imagine that they relate to other technical folk. I have little network services I've shared with friends before, perhaps they do something sim

This looks awesome!! The code editor space may seem saturated, but it's not! I've been looking for an alternative to VS Code for some time. Some things I'm really excited for: - Remote development as a first-class citizen! I

TIL that my hatred of stale bot is somewhat misplaced, because it seems that it can be configured in a way I think is a lot more acceptable. Shame when it's set to be aggressive, it can be a serious hindrance. Issues almost act like a

Hi John! I've actually had a Cloudflare account since 2018, but have never seriously used it for one reason or another. I also own NET shares that have treated me quite well (thanks). Anyways, I digress, but since you've taken the

I generally like cloudflare, but I've never seen anything that's convinced me they're immune to similar attacks. It would be more convincing to see whatever policies they have for protection, and perhaps more anecdotal eviden

I think the difference is more that each app has to maintain its own connection (more connections, more drain). Seems like gotify could remedy that though.

Your comment could seem like a meaningless sound-bite, but the fact that I can't think of many counter examples makes it hit a bit more.

Thanks for the reply! This is very interesting, I will surely take a look. Only issue I see is that it seems to use DNS, and that's not exactly secure either. In my mind I am thinking of something that would be more theoretically secur

This reminds me of something I have been looking for for a long time. If you know any reasonable way to fix it please let me know! This "any CA can authenticate any domain" system is ridiculous. I manage my own CA, which is fine f

I found their comment to be a useful way to easily explain it to those who are less technical. In that way I find it has value. Your comment, however, has quite an aggressive feel. I don't think it was warranted.

I think a lot of people are wondering why this exists. My first thought was in READMEs, just to be flashy. My thoughts were that any code made fancy in image form could also be found elsewhere, I don't think (brash assumption on my par

Seeing a lot of critical comments here. I get it, this isn't perfect, but let's not forget that this is part of a growing movement towards something better. That is to be commended. Don't let perfect be an enemy of good.

In some systems it's also nice to have a "canary" acting as the user to call your API every minute or so. Then even during low / no traffic hours you can still catch errors/outages/etc.

I agree that this is a good discussion to have, but maybe we should include the responsibility that people who so easily include potentially untrusted code have in this? This is free code, responsibility to check may need to have a social s

This is a question I have as well. The trends currently seem to heavily favor white males right now. Maybe part of the issue has to do with the early education system? I'll admit this idea is not originally mine, but I like it. For som
