Maybe I am one of those few people :) I don't know how to interpret that diagram. Based on some of the comments here I would put myself at #1, and based on others at #5.

Do you find drawing easy then, since you could trace around a visualization? That seems like it could be a useful test. I would expect those without aphantasia to be better at contour drawings (e.g. cartoon characters) if it really feels su

I wasn't trying to convey that conclusion. I'm skeptical at people's confidence; I'm not confident that they're wrong. I think they discount how big a factor the difficulty in communication is. On internal monologue

I was imagining people saying this in reference to a diagram like that (labelled with percentages instead of 1-5).

If it means being able to hallucinate on command, i.e. superimpose the apple in your view as if you were wearing AR glasses, indistinguishable from a real apple apart from your knowledge that it's fake -- then that's a much sharpe

I've never understood how people talk so objectively and confidently about this. There are subjective things we'll never able to compare, like whether your experience of red and green is the same as mine or swapped. Then there are

It won't require build.zig, you'll just have to run zig translate-c on the C file. Andrew's comment here[1] says that @cImport is basically @import + the compiler implicitly running translate-c for you. There was some discuss

The work-in-progress Zine SSG project https://zine-ssg.io/ calls its templating Super and it works just like this — directives are written in HTML rather than on top of it.

I spent a while trying to do all the semantic markup properly on my blog -- <em>, <i>, <dfn>, <cite>, <mark>, <strong>, <b>, etc. I eventually gave up and just used <i> and <b> everywher

+1 for NearlyFreeSpeech! I’ve used them for years paying only 40-45 cents a month. I love that I can just ssh in and mess around. My site is mostly static but recently I wanted to add a private section for specific family and friends. So I

I don't care what language Homebrew uses, it just works. When I got my M1 MacBook in 2021 I saw some of this negativity about Homebrew, and since I was doing a clean install anyway I decided to try out MacPorts. I quickly ran into prob

I listened to that, it was good! I was surprised there is an entire podcast about array programming. Looking forward to future episodes, and also to trying AoC with BQN again in a few months.

I felt that way at first too but I’m less concerned about it the more I use Zig. Defer and errdefer are already a huge improvement over C. I won’t deny there’s more risk of forgetting to clean up than in Rust or C++, but Zig’s approach forc
