Thats why home routers has its own domain. mine is homerouter.cpe (this comes with the router) Also remembering IP address does not get you so far. the last company I worked at had a spreadsheet of IPv4 address of the Jenkins boxes that we

End users do not need easier IP address unless they host something. even then one can use address compressed address and DNS. The thing with IPv6 is it very different than IPv4, as such how we use it should not be compared with IPv4. My I

github pages had IPv6 sometime on 2017[1]. they removed after changing the IPs to one of their own. They have been dragging their feet on enabling IPv6 even on github.com and continues to be headache when working on a IPv6 only server. htt

The official site has the info you are looking for. "Natick was used to perform COVID-19 research for Folding at Home and World Community Grid." Also the data center designation for it was "Northern Isles" (SSDC-002). h

I experienced the same issue and hcaptcha does not support IPv6. I was baffled when cloudflare decided to use a IPv4 only service.

If you have IPv6, remove IPv4 to see how many tools break, because github does not have IPv6. Composer is useless in a native IPv6 only servers.

Akamai has more than 200 pops and do geodns to stear traffic. If I compare cloudflare DNS vs Google DNS, I can see a difference of ~50ms between the Akamai POPs offered. https://pastebin.com/raw/xFQb4pVF

if there is an NAT problem, why dont you add IPv6 support? It will solve that problem to at least some users. Your site is currently down, but it does does not show a AAAA record for video.etherpad.org

Yes its possible, I run a website on 2 IPv6 only servers. Although I had to use cloudflare as gateway for IPv4 only users. If I were to remove cloudflare, more than 30% of users can connect to the site via IPv6. Problem is that other 70% wi

that is possible too, even though they don't encourage it. what I meant was when you click on the last link, sometimes it redirects to https://imgur.com/vjdfNOe making the direct link pointless.

That does not work most of the time. Browsers send different http accept header when image is clicked vs hotlinked on img tag. imgur looks at the header and redirect the image to the image page when clicked on the direct link.

In the post the archive.is says that it caused "many troubles". We really dont know the site works in the backend. So I guess the admin did not want to spend time to fix issues cloudflare created.

They are taking about Geo load balancing via DNS.[1] Just try one of the akamai endpoints to test it. (E.g media.steampowered.com) For me 1.1.1.1 serves akamai singapore IPs, while 8.8.8.8 serves IPs of my ISPs akamai cache in Sri Lanka. If

Currently as only a handful of providers even support receiving IPv6 mail and due to spammers still using IPv4, we don't know yet. Usually /64 is considered for reputation in abuseipdb. Another fact is gmail which supports IPv6 re

Try to do MTR and check for the routing. I am from Sri Lanka and I get following over IPv6 using dig, 80-120ms for Nextdns (92ms avg ping) 75-140ms for Google (61ms avg ping) 70-90ms for Cloudflare (75ms avg ping)
