GrapheneOS does, however, register on the FBI's radar because a lot of criminals know to use it, and the FBI can't crack it.

You can dot his but it won't be Graphene but something else, like LineageOS. As long as Graphene's selling point is extreme privacy and not just more privacy, it will be this way.

Normally you have to unlock the phone before unlocking the bootloader, and that is the protection.

Yes, as opposed to the Fuchsia kernel where they wouldn't even get that. We're lucky Google is institutionally incapable of creating things.

When you realize that keeping people on proprietary mobile OSes is a matter of national security it makes more sense. The USA spares no expense for national security.

In C++ you're not allowed to call main yourself, so that the compiler can call the global constructors at the start of main.

The original UB was to allow the compiler to merge two loops without proving termination.

Sounds like a compiler bug that a standard feature implementable in freestanding doesn't work in freestanding.

Impl specific. If you're building bare metal, pass -ffreestanding so GCC knows it's not allowed to call OS functions.

The standards intended interpretation of UB was always intended to be something like "implementation defined, no documentation required" to allow for implementation weirdness, even unpredictable ones. It was compiler authors who d

Isn't that the strategy for most of the stuff in C++? It's the common denominator of a wide variety of platforms. That's why numbers didn't have to be two's complement and characters didn't have to be ASCII for

I can't find anything saying variables are zero initialized by default in C++20. But the reason to do so is obvious: many bugs are caused by the lack of this, and as long as you can opt out with "= void" or something, it'

Not necessarily, could be a change in environment. E.g. teaching people to read by imagining a voice in their head teaches them the voice is their own. It's probably BS though.
