I thought I was going crazy. The reindex frequency is so much higher than it used to be. AppCode is worse than IntelliJ in this regard and building Swift indexes for Cocoapods is unimaginably slow.

AppCode by JetBrains indexes like mad. I have a high specced MBP, it can randomly take 10 minutes to re-index on start. Change target device from iOS to simulator – reindex. Change to macOS catalyst – reindex. Change back to native iOS targ

MK64 was the first MK game I played. Having played titles proceeding it, I feel that MK Wii and MK8 are more balanced. MK64 has horrible rubber banding. It’s to the point where your level of skill can mean nothing if you make one costly err

Is it just me or is Xcode one of the worst IDEs going? I mostly use AppCode, but will begrudgingly jump into Xcode to adjust schemes, debug memory leaks, add image assets, etc. But it is a truly awful piece of software. It seems that with e

Depends where the vulnerability lies. Plenty of iMessage DoS attacks [1-4] have targeted CoreText, which, I believe is written in C and CoreFoundation. I think all of these DoS attacks could be mitigated by not viewing the message and disab

A lot of the UI scripting on macOS is accomplished via accessibility APIs. If you’re interested, check out Accessibility Inspector[0], which ships with Xcode. You can inspect macOS applications in a similar, albeit much more limited way to

Pay is honestly decent in my experience. I’ve noticed that Aussies stay at the same company for much longer, compared to U.S. engineers. I’m on my third role in 3 years and will be taking $160K+, total compensation. Not nearly as much as so

Similar situation in macOS. Sub-pixel anti aliasing was removed in 10.14/Mojave.
