I didn't hear that. I heard vocal claims that _getting rid of all of the things_ would cause problems, and that we'd either have to expensively replicate or just sign up for it separately anyway. That is exactly what has happened

I’ve given up trying to push against f-strings/format in log messages; I even wrote a bowler/fissix fixer to automatically transform our codebase from them/.format/%-format into the delayed form. But nobody ever used it,

Running a bot against your repository doesn’t make the bot a contributor. Does running an autoformatter against your code make the formatter a contributor? Does github making the merge commit on a PR make github a contributor? This is just

It's a good thing that's completely not what is being claimed then. I can't move any part of my body at the speed of sound, and yet - somehow - I still manage to produce vibrations that move at the speed of sound.

I dunno, unlike - apparently - you, I'm not an expert on the last few microseconds of the microfluidics of what happens to small volumes of air suddenly evacuated from a hand-sized area under constant compression. I take it that this m

Running out of fuel is something it’s obviously “easy” to do with other cars. But I’m surprised that the electronics have _no_ power redundancy, there isn’t a manual release for the parking break, and running out of power causes the parking

Is that a wild guess to “reinforce” your point or do you actually have knowledge that this is common and zero survivors happens freqently? Either that or it sounds like you are blaming the penguins for nesting somewhere historically stable.

It really… doesn’t have to complicate. And I disagree that optimising python code is never necessary. Not everybody is writing 100-line one-off glue scripts. Also, you are somewhat changing the topic from “what is an example of when you mig
