As someone who did similar thing for few, little smaller business I will tell you - it depends. Personally I did some software that saved a lot of money on licensing and hosting, almost none on-call activity as the software is stable and it

So you make hardware costing dozens of thousands of dollars and brag about memory on 5$ chip? That explains a lot why so many medical and industrial (I haven’t touch military hardware) are so badly designed, with some sad proprietary protoc

Great stuff. Little jealous, because I'd love to work on quickly scaling such experiment seeing how many people are playing with it. Sad, but having my head too burned out by corpo bullshit and my creativity level is in the basement :(

The problem is you need to send 467k (current count of checked boxes) websocket messages and backend(s) are already dying for ~1 hour. Good luck with that, I only played for some time by clearing first 1000 boxes every few seconds. Even aft

You need to directly send 42["toggle.... via WebSocket. Of course you need to check which are checked before if you want to clear instead of reverse.

Seeing how pirate groups have to steal materials from before the pipeline - I think it’s not related to TV or other devices. They just went full „we know better” approach and made just awful bad encoders.

Funny how they care about encoding quality only by sponsoring such articles, but not by really improving the encoding quality <3 Dark scenes are just awful, rest gets awful only in 4k. In 1080p it’s just bad. Even better they „researched

If data on S3 is crucial for business to be alive? Of course! I would even think about writing data to 2 separate storages in real time to be able to switch easily. 3-2-1 backup is a no joke, especially when it's your business, not a h

So able to optimize node.js and be $x times faster, but not able to calculate percentage of speedup correctly? 1.3s vs 2s it's not 58% speedup - it's 35%... Such approach makes those projects looks like unicorns, not production st
