> Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Firefox already alert you on startup of newly installed Plugins? Eh sorry I don't know the answer, been a Safari/Chrome user for a while. From an end user POV, I think it would be okay to have both

Why couldn't they store a hash of the plugins of a given profile on the server, and check that at startup? It wouldn't be much different than their already existing malware checks.

lol. Yeah if they would add a single extra step to the install process and Firefox would protect itself a little better, that all sounds reasonable. ;)

Interesting, but even if your goal lies elsewhere, why else would you choose to hijack a plane if it wasn't to at least present the appearance of some fatal outcome? And that's ignoring the very real secondary dangers to passengers that can

Two questions I've been struggling a bit with lately... 1) Are widescreen layouts acceptable yet? 2) As long as the UI stays snappy, how much CPU usage is it okay to use?

I'm sorry but he said to "backport it to 1.6" which would mean taking code from a more advanced version and making it work on an older codebase. This would involve updates to the 1.6 release or forking, which is what the other two "lol" com

I wasn't addressing the problem of banning Tumblr users, but correcting the often mistaken and repeated claim that 4chan is an anonymous forum. But seriously, if the mood stays "for real" it's not going to be hard to shutdown and ban tumblr

You're not anonymous to admins, only to users. Every post is still associated with a big fat naked IP address and it's a single click to ban a user of a specific post.

My biggest gripe with TM 1.5 is how Find in Project still beachballs on a new 3.33 6-core Westmere RAID 10 setup. Even after hearing everyone else's problems with FiP, I thought it might have been the slow HD in my last iMac. It's not. ;)

I'm familiar with the MIT license, but thanks. So if the copyrights to new code aren't important, why would Joyent seek to change that and want to "own" the code now?
