Depends if you're running a huge IDE, or a text editor.

One scenario I can think of is investing in a tablet, if only to test how a web app runs on it.

No, I didn't! Didn't know of it, although I should have gone looking for one.

With a private repo in GitHub, after adding a second user, can that second user just start using "Pull Requests", even if they just cloned the repo initially at the command line?

A quick sum of reserve prices in the table: $4,921,150.

The strength of this is precisely that it's a crash course. I've tried some recommended Python tutorials (couldn't name any of them), and they try to cover everything. For example, instead of showing all the useful stuff across all categori

There's certainly a plus side to doing administrivia, if it can provide you with implicit feedback in how your doing. With your logs, if you fully automated everything, you might not spot a problem with the server that you otherwise may not

The article mentions: $ git fetch $ git checkout master $ git merge origin/master On the third (last) line of code above, is there a more short-hand way to say "merge the remote tracked branch related to this current branch

May I suggest a soundtrack for this article? The Doors - Summer's Almost Gone "Summer's almost gone. Where will we be, when the summer's gone?" The Doors - Wintertime Love "Wintertime winds blow cold this season. Fallen in love, I'm hoping

Agreed. When looking at laptops that have decent spec and to run Ubuntu on, you suddenly reach the same price as a Macbook Air.

And I wonder if KeePassX has a CLI. Its GUI current form is clunky.

Discovering Ctrl+r (for searching through past commands) was a big jump for me in CLI usability.

In the same boat as you being a programmer. Apart from Elance for design (ew), and not having design contacts, how would one go about finding a designer to work with?

Must check it out. First thing to try would be to link its configuration folder from my Dropbox folder to get cross-PC syncing.

Good points. Regarding the dual monitors, I find being able to move quickly between workspaces in Linux/OSX to be a good alternative (I use three workspaces for programming).

So I shouldn't buy a new MacBook Air for the fun of it? I guess the answer is no for PHP programming :)

Congratulations. It would be useful if you wrote beside the current figures Tue percentage change on last year. It also struck me that linking the price to a growth factor may end up overpricing your service leading to a halt in signups. Is

Great, will give it another go, in that case. There's one little niggle still. Signing into a delegated Gmail account, there's no option for Labs. I want my signature to appear above the message I'm replying to, but this doesn't seem possib

Awesome! But... I'm not a JS guy. I can't contextualise this. How does this compare to HTML5 browser-based audio playing? Will this be a new way to make an audio button? Or does it go much deeper than that for JS apps?

Tried WorkFlowy quickly, and love the approach. I'd like it more if the site told me more who you are, what's your approach, and if you're going to start charging for it (which would be positive in terms of credibility). I was a Basecamp cu
