This is really neat. Adobe stated the hashes are 3DES/ECB. So, say I have a two block password with '6aMjgZFLzYg' as the second block... when I just search for that block I see alot of hints that point to '123456789

I was considering the fact that when it adds 0x8000 or whatever it's doing it's hitting 0x1.... codepoints and doing weird things with those because of the encoding. Here's a trace of 한글 through this 'rot8000', tho

Not reciprocal for CJK input, e.g. "한글" takes 5 iterations to reach stability. I believe this has to do with the utf-16 encoding of codepoints > 0x10000

The 15" is slightly less DPI. I was only comparing DPI because, to be honest, every laptop I've ever used that wasn't a Thinkpad or a Macbook has left me wondering whether I should just use pen and paper instead.

Yeah, I played with my UA and google's homepage and I like this explanation better. It's kinda horrifying how broken it is.

Go also provides a syscall for ReadDirectoryChanges, and one really nice Go library that uses inotify/ReadDirectoryChanges is https://github.com/howeyc/fsnotify

This construction {{point}}; {{elaboration}} tl;dr: {{point}} is about as redundant as it gets. For what it's worth, I take that form of "tl;dr" as emphasis, not as a literal tl;dr.

If each processor draws down 50 Watts, 20 billion of them would draw 1 TW. The US uses on average ~3 TW across every power source (including e.g. combustion engines).
