When you need an ESB, you can add one to the mix, but it still doesn't mean that you should use it for everything, even if it's not needed.

You can do that in every language, even in Java 1.0, by just using a hash maps of objects, and cast those objects to whatever you like at runtime before accessing them. But then, you are basically throwing out your static type checks and ju

You can do SOA without an ESB. You don't have to use ESB everywhere to have SOA architecture.

You may be surprised, but in Europe, it's difficult to find a company that doesn't use Java (or .Net). Node does exist, but it's not where the money is.

But if you write a static site generator, you can blog about it. And that can be the first and the last post of your blog. If you don't write one, the chance is good, your blog would stay empty.

It's funny how people spend a lot of time and, in the end, choose a worse (unfavourable?) product just because of their inability to find a config switch that would solve all their issues and enable them to use their tool of choice.

Yeah, true. Why not just use elisp, the one and only configuration language? It's amazing what you can do with it, given the appropriate platform. Some people even managed to implement a decent editor using elisp.
