Easynews also has a global search where you can search through all the newsgroup posts with a regular expression (> 150 days). You might ask them? They are certainly not as secrective as google is ;)

Twitter did buy their images from a stock photo site and they didn't buy the exclusive rights to the image. Everybody can buy the start site image and can run his own site with the same image as background!

There was a screenshot a few months ago showing the debug version of twitter which showed that each page request needed about 12 mysql queries... that's proof enough that they didn't have any talented engineering talent. Their business guys

I can only recommend hetzner. We got > 10 servers there and are very happy. In June, they will have their new datacenter ready with new server offers. If all goes well, I will order another > 30 servers for our data processing.

Why not compare slicehost with a real provider? Take the servers at hetzner.de, they don't charge much more than a VPS but you et much more power. The only real advantage of a VPS when you grow is when they offer you tools to automatically

In Luxembourg (.lu), the registrar just disconnects your domain name for or a few days before it's free to register again. If your domain doesn't work anymore, you will probably notice and check if you have missed to pay or not.
