turbo.js is a barebones library (a port of NanoCL[1]). It - doesn't support hardware or drivers that still don't support hp float textures (all things Apple basically)[2] - requires you to use GLSL (I'm the creator of turbo.j

Fun fact, if you manage to replace the osk.exe (on screen keyboard) and flip the registry bit that loads it before the login screen, it will be executed as SYSTEM, with full disk and network access. It can also interact with the Winlogon wi

Plus, from a "future-proofing" standpoint, PSQL is the standard interface for many different databases, outside of the PostgreSQL implementation (e.g. CockroachDB).

Yep on the first point. I was once asked to bend a comically large paper clip out of pipe cleaners. Next I was to solve some physics questions. This was for an analyst job at a bank.

I think big source files have their place. Single procedure view is about the only thing I miss in today's Visual Studio (was a thing in VS6).

That's pretty standard pricing (look at DO block storage or Vultr's offerings). Keep in mind that this is true block storage, not document or object storage. You can mount object storage, sure-but it's always going to be less

Since the title was changed to "Show HN:", I want to clarify that this is a language created by Timwi, not me.

Not really to explore, the intention is nothing but to be esoteric. Suggesting things to make this lang easier to use (i.e. less esoteric) is akin to suggesting adding names to brainfuck commands to make it more readable. Timwi does have so

Guys, I hope you keep in mind that this is an esolang, it's intention is not to be practical, but interesting. And I think in that it succeeded. I also recommend a look into the repo which contains the parser, which could be interestin

Can you demo your library with a more complex example, e.g. the Dining Philosophers Problem. Here[1] is the solution using TBB, and here[2] a more recent version - using a multioutput function node to optimize the flow. [1] - https:/&

Curious. ANI seems to me like an abstract form of graph-parallel programming, where the language itself is the scheduler. There are some production-ready schedulers for GPP, like Intel's TBB[1] (C++), but learning to be effective with

Yeah, in my example, the $1k is for one server (cluster node). These servers (Purus, Quanta etc.) are commonly used to rapidly build enterprise clouds (you usually buy them by the rack). It's the closest thing you get to plugging a net

I maintain a P2P on-premise FTS search. Though this one indexes many types of text (plain, HTML, PDF, DOCs). One 8c server (running about 10 workers) can handle 8 to 10qps, depending on the depth required. This is on an index of 20 million
