I would like govts to legislate this and make recycling a necessary part of the product lifecycle, maybe help companies out, the recovery is a lot less energy intensive and harmful for the environment than mining and sourcing them generally

Both can be true at the same time, we can be equal opportunity murderers who treat lazy verbosity and hippester terse code.

Yeah I meant gpt-5.4-mini, but GLM 5.2 is pretty close to gpt-5.4 base, and much better than it when it comes to design stuff.

I tried out the model it's pretty great, better than ~~gpt5.4~~ gpt-5.4-mini perhaps, atleast close enough to sonnet 5 in performance that I didn't notice much of a gap. Not really at gpt 5.5 tier though, and probably below glm 5.

Tried to get access to the API, apparently the model API is not available in my region... I have questions regarding if I should even care but I don't so Meta please keep enjoying the irrelevance. lmao

So basically since US stopped OpenAI and Anthropic for 4 weeks, it allowed all other AI Labs to almost catch up. GLM 5.2 caught up, Cognition RL'ed Kimi 2.7, Grok 4.5 is out, DeepSeek v4 GA is out in a few days... What is the moat? and

If I see another skill or markdown on hackernews I might just consider leaving the platform. What even is the point of sharing markdowns... Either LLMs will be so good in a few months this will be redundant. Or it won't be and LLMs are

After some crying over not getting 5.6 access early and losing Fable and then getting it back, after calmly trying out these models again, I am back to thinking they are over hyped and Anthropic and OpenAI is minting marketing from it. Prom

Property may be a social construct, but the costs of living are not. You can question ownership in the abstract, and I am not even against that conversation. But that does not answer the actual point here. We still live in a world where foo

Doesn't Nvidia with their NVFP4 claim that it's lossless? I haven't tested enough models Nvidia has converted to NVFP4 besides GLM 5.2 but it seemed fine to me. My own luck has been hit or miss with it.

At scale for inference it's almost non-existent for a data center company to go for AMD because they couldn't get or afford Nvidia atm. They instead start the build out and plug in stuff they can, then take a loan or ask Nvidia to

I was talking in the data center gpu context, EPYCs are pretty common in data centers these days. I have a huge EPYC based data center like 200-300+km from my house on the outskirts of the city a few dozen miles from a IT industry tech park
