I've had that book sitting on my shelf for a couple years now. I read the first couple of chapters, but the writing seemed poor and I couldn't really get into it. Is it worth giving it another go?

A dumb teen isn't going to try to drive a car on the sidewalk. I've seen teens drive scooters on sidewalks. You can't lane split with a car, you can with a scooter. Cars have a greater ability to be dangerous, but maybe scoot

I would highly recommend playing 9x9 Go! It is a lot shorter and generally played at a faster pace (lower time controls). It still retains a good balance of strategy and tactics.

I am curious. I do not know much about image encoding and the such. What other types are there besides linear either row by row or column by column? It seems to me that those two are the only logical ways to map pixels.
