I’m not sure why this is downvoted. No JavaScript engine does that. “This is JavaScript after all” is ridiculous FUD.

No, that’s not a real risk.

No, they’re not vulnerable; browsers fixed this bug a long time ago.

Because the project is based on SquashFS, and the standard Node build tool is GYP, which requires Python 2?

That’s not an unrelated page; it describes Textile’s syntax in a column on the right and lets you try it interactively. (No, it’s not a flavour of Markdown.)

User experience is worse with GIF. It takes more bandwidth and consumes more CPU time than a comparable video in cases where video is applicable (and when the other cases occasionally pop up, lossless WebP is probably still a better choic

Lossless video formats (lossless HEVC, lossless WebP) could also be edited with an image editor.

The two things aren’t exclusive. What reason do you have not to minify your compact, clean, logical CSS?

JavaScript doesn’t have “spaghetti-programming by design via callback hell”. Callbacks are a common approach to dealing with events and asynchronicity because nothing was built into the language (until it added promises and async/await

Promises did solve the problem; async/await is just syntactic sugar for them. The important thing is being able to start a task and pass around its value on completion without worrying whether that completion has happened yet. If you

You can commit without pushing, and generally have full freedom to rearrange your repository locally. So no, lots of us make use of Git’s decentralization all the time, even without mailing patches.

Way more painful to make packages for Debian, IME, but I avoid making packages altogether: > Now, of course, you could just go old-school and "manual install" whatever you want. Yep, stop right there, do that.

Why? It’s perfectly convenient if your software compiles quickly (st does), and saves having to make guesses about configuration file syntax.

If you don’t tell the browser in some way where your response ends (with Content-Length, chunked, or HTTP/2 [?]), you can’t reuse connections, as far as I know. If that’s the case, you probably don’t care enough about performance to us

Why would a browser cache an incomplete response? Content-Length exists, and failing that, there are chunked transfers.

`!document.hidden` would work, and it’s what most people would normally write already. `document.hidden == false` would not work; `false != undefined`.
