I have a question about WebAssembly. 1- With WASM, would developing for the web become similar to how desktop apps are written? For example, could I use C# and design a UI in xaml, compile to WASM for the web? 2- No more JavaScript?

I agree. In 2011, my first programming course in college( computing 1), was taught in C using a plain text editor on a Unix-terminal. I'm so glad it was in C , it allowed me to understand how the computer works better.

Same with teaching French, Piano, Recorder, Photography. It will give people some exposure to something new. Most won't be interested, but a few would have discovered their passion.

That's actually a good point you've made. My issue is mostly in determining which ones are serious and which ones are throwing every job they have to see what sticks.
