Elixir as a new language doesn't have to reinvent a lot of things because of its ability to transparently call erlang (for instance, to use crypto I could just do :crypto.strong_rand_bytes(32) |> :base64.encode_to_string ). This is

Shameless plug, I made something related which makes testing out public static sites pretty easy. You can check it out at https://slugex.com/ It also allows you to deploy via the terminal. All you need is bash and curl :)

Storing images on GitHub is also a good idea :) At the moment Liveform hosts the images forever. However, you are right about the cumulative cost. I'll have to think about a proper archival mechanism. Thanks for your feedback :)

Many people here fail to realize, this is an excellent debugging server. I used to have a server to print out the body and headers of requests when building an api to make sure things were going (the right headers and request body) out as

I use it with Xmonad, for me tmux's scripting and ability to detach and attach to sessions is a big win. It also allows me to run async tests by triggering a test from vim without blocking. And, the copy paste support is also very good

I extracted a static site out of this and put it up at http://til.zammu.in/ . This kind of content is great for Static Sites as people can easily contribute to them using Github Pull Requests.
