SQLite is actually maintained in many files, but they are concatenated into one file for distribution. Here is the reasoning: https://sqlite.org/amalgamation.html

I really wish more developers took the time to comment code as well as the sqlite.org devs.

The main advantage is that the query is resolved at runtime. It only queries for exactly what your component needs. No over-querying. No sharing queries across components, which is a huge mistake people make.

Regarding tax revenue. In many states in the U.S. they “simply” nail you on your yearly registration fee. It’s an awful system as it’s punitive at the moment. I now pay over $200 a year on that fee due to it being an electric vehicle. My ca

Seems like a really silly lisp with string operators and is incredibly hard to read when not trivial. This will probably be the first and last time I ever ask this question, but why not just use something like clojurescript?

I’d love to have the “Look up” option on the menu. Every time I right click I am again reminded of its absence. So, hopefully “soon”.

Imagine if you could filter all of that out and only see other paid subscriber content. That would get a rid of a lot of trolls and bots. Not all, but a LOT.

That thing (the System76 keyboard) is fugly. :-) I did just by a fun clicky, expensive keyboard, and not so expensive mouse for home. I purposely didn't buy wireless as I find no point in wireless when these things are on my desk 100%

Unfortunately, a lot of us are using VPNs now. So, location isn't a very good indicator as that would provide a lot of false positives. That actually happened to me recently, and I though "Oh yeah, I was using a VPN then." So

It’s sad when most people discuss things based on a one line title of something they haven’t read. Many questions here were answered in that article. I recently asked someone on a different site “didn’t you read the article?”. The obvious a

I believe the real problem is that devs install random binaries, or modules, without any real concern for what malicious activities, even if unintentional, these artifacts may perform. Forget the fact that it’s on the dev’s machine, they mo

Kotlin is by far my favorite language-to-date. I moved my dev team to it years ago, it's all server side. We still have over a decade's worth of Java code to maintain, but anything new is in Kotlin (even in the legacy applications

I believe they’re just referring to the fact it’s native and it’s no longer being utilizing Rosetta2. Since it’s bundled with its own JRE/JDK, and other components, perhaps they just have it all compiled for M1. I was supposed to have
