FYI the Mars demo is garbage. I suggest trying out Fragments for a better feel for the capabilities of the device.

Eloquent Javascript[0] is free and online, it starts of with simple concepts but ramps up very fast. Javascript the Good Parts[1] is very solid, albeit a little more advanced and dry. Probably not a beginner book, but one to read after you&

From the /r/tor thread System33 posted a comment[0] originally by Alec Muffet explaining why Facebook set up a TOR service, which may answer some of your questions: Why would anyone run a legal onion service? Thanks Alec Muffett (

Just define a robot.txt file instructing the crawler to not index your website. See: http://www.robotstxt.org/

I'm a fan of Adafruit and dislike Facebook but this post is unprofessional. I understand why she would be frustrated, yet this does not seem like the appropriate way to respond.

I just started learning GLSL shaders. As practice, I wrote a psuedo-metaball joystick. I didn't know about metaballs, but now that I do I can do some more research and improve my next iteration. Touch blob joystick shader: https:/

That is because Java and C# use classical OO. Javascript does not, it uses prototypal OO. Classes are static contracts that define the state and behavior of object instances. Javascript objects are not contractually obligated to have the st

I agree this is an anti-pattern; you get better namespace encapsulation by wrapping your code in an immediately invoked function.

My issue with the "upgrade" updates is that they have a habit of nuking my boot loader. So I have to wait to update until I know I have a chunk of time set aside to repair GRUB.

I think John Carmack is one of my favorite people to watch present. If you haven't watched his long rants about using FP in game dev @ QuakeCon a few years back you should. It was QuakeCon 2013, although I'm not sure which part:

I made my own Kilo and have wanted to eventually build it into something like this (Vim-ish and Lua extensible.) Eventually, I will find the time. Good stuff!

This is excellent. I've been learning 65c816 assembly for SNES programming and I've wanted a tool much like this. The 65c816 is based on the 6502, I wonder how much work it would be to extend this.

While I completely agree with you, your comment isn't very constructive. It attacks the user, informs him his argument is weak, and provides no argument or counterpoint to the discussion.

Making wheelchair ramps and wide doors for the physically disabled sounds a lot like 'making music for the deaf'. It can be done and people are doing it, but it just seems like the most inefficient thing to do. /s We design b

No it isn't. You can do this on a hololens, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, albeit with many limitations. Windows MR headsets are on preorder and are 1440x1440 per eye and will let you run any application on them.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I recently had a discussion concerning animal sentience and was having trouble articulating my thoughts. You have managed to concisely convey "thought" in an eloquent fashion.

Your hostile tone is not lending any credibility to your argument. I'm a native English speaker. In retrospect, I see how the title is supposed to read - but that is not how I initially read it - and it took me several times to actuall
