I'll admit I use reolink, however isolated on vlans with zero connectivity allowed other than caddy's L4 module encrypting and encapsulating it's stream which then is restricted to only my frigate setup. Even if I had a highe

Im pretty sure they arent dedicated ASIC engines anymore. Thats why hacks like nvidia-patch are a thing where you can scale up NVENC usage up to the full GPU's compute rather than the arbitrary limitation nvidia adds. The penalty for u

Will def keep an eye on things. If theres one 'must have' feature I can request, luminosity masking? Its hard to go back to raw editors that dont have it. Its not the end all or be all to masking (ie color, saturation masking, et

Still think its highly underrated to use fs-cache with NASes (usually configured with cachefilesd) for some local dynamically scaling client-side nvme caching. Helps a ton with response times with any NAS thats primarily spinning rust, espe

Its a low bar but a bar you cant walk back from if you collide poorly rather than pass with flying colours. Take MS, sure they are doing a lot with AI, however some matters like Recall I'm not sure they can ever fully step back from, t

This is my understanding too. There are microscopic amounts of trace elements here or there but in reality none of them add up to anything meaningful compared to what you get from food, multivitamins, or other less ideal means. Rather if th

Just a suggestion as well, theres countless 'water recipes' that let you easily do the same thing for a fraction the price. They arent doing anything complicated. Some mixes are simple two ingredients, some go up to several, but a

Not to be dismissive either, but guix might have been more apt for what they wanted versus nix. Not trying to suggest guix is superior, just possibly a better solution considering their gripes with packages.

A lot of less scrupulous crawlers just seem to imitate the big ones. I feel a lot of people make assumptions because the user agent has to be true, right? My fave method is still just to have bait info in robots.txt that gzip bombs and auto

I do prefer the gain map approach myself. Do a sensible '32 bit' HDR edit, further tweak an SDR version, and export a file that has both. Creative power is still in your hands versus some tone mapper's guesses at your intent.
