No Asciidoc? I know (and use daily) the IntelliJ Asciidoc plugin, so it's surprising to me that they make a writing plugin/environment and don't support AD out of the box. eta: Having now had a closer look, some more thoughts

Have to say that when writing fiction (and taking that seriously) my output slows down by a very significant factor. It's not the physical act of writing that takes time, but the time needed to think about the scene, characters, etc.
