This applies to all media though. I love the discovery channel but not all commercials. I love “Life Below Zero” but it’s filmed in a way to maximize the chance you turn to it when channel Surfing, and getting you to watch ads. it’s not o

This is a really binary view of politics and to me represents why we shouldn’t talk politics at work. People’s views on issues aren’t binary and people on the same side of the left right political divide can disagree on issues. How many l

Politics isn’t binary. “Whether or not black people are actual people” isn’t really what’s on the table: How many black people rolled their eyes when companies released statements in support of Black Lives Matter but did nothing inside the

Saying the emails are fake would be a direct acknowledgment of the incident that the agency is trying to investigate. This is similar to the “Glomar Response”. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glomar_response .

It might be the same problem. Candidates get national security briefings so they might have been advised not to deny it.

This must be it. Facebook has been hand wringing about censorship for the past few years and all of a sudden, Facebook and Twitter immediately act in lockstep? It might explain why the Biden campaign can’t deny it as well.

The philosophy of this is interesting. As we start to understand more about genetics and psychology, we'll probably be able to more closely pinpoint why people do what they do. But that doesn't mean people shouldn't be held

The problem is the assumption that any one idea is "Right". I in general disagree with the disease model of psychology but most of people don't and they are genuinely helped by that. Trying to teach them to adopt a more exi

I don't know the name for it, but this seems like a "the market leader doesn't know what it's doing" fallacy. While I will concede that Google is not the market leader in many of these areas, It's Microsoft, n

A thing I'm curious about is how they plan on handling the supply chain. As a consumer of server products I observe that running a server company is much less a technical problem and much more of a supply chain management problem. As

I’ve always sort of thought of it in reverse. You dont pay an executive to work at your company, you pay them not to work at a different company. In this sense Executive pay and employee pay aren’t directly linked.
