The main reason im not concerned about AI-based entertainment is the same reason I watch human chess players. It's not only about technical capabilities. I can't explain fully why though..

There are tools like firecracker that significantly reduces docker overhead https://firecracker-microvm.github.io/ I believe fly.io uses that. Not sure if OP’s tool does that

This is pretty funny. I've been abusing this shitty API for a while to see who likes me in this dating app. I didn't realise the problems were this bad. They've had massive issues with their tech stack from a user POV. I'

Ive been using Zed's assistant panel heavily and have really enjoyed the experience. The UI can be a bit frustrating. Sometimes, when you write it's hard to get it to send your query. The new /workflow seems to really bridge

Why do software engineers care so much about TUI? I really don't get it. I love a good command line program. But TUI just doesn't appeal to me.

I absolutely adore your coding videos where you implement new features. Any chance we'll get more of those with Ladybird?

Are you talking about the Low Emission Zone? That seems to be a reduction of high emission cars and not really a total ban as described in the article.

Feature suggestion: Add a 'popular' section. Should be easy enought to use the data from https://formulae.brew.sh/analytics/ . I also noticed some of the app icons are a bit grainy on the edges. Cool app!

The funny thing is. Iceland used to have a lot more vegetation and trees. They were simply cut down for the population of humans to thrive. However there are some projects that are already having success in trying to bring forestation back

Apple is artifically shipping phones with low storage sizes to upsell phones with more space. If there was a big economical advantage for them to have larger models on the phone I expect it would be easy to solve.

CSGO has just had the most concurrent player count. The game is by no means dying or unpopular. I think the game is in a great state and valve seems to be delivering a lot of what people have asked for. Im intrigued by the new smokes.

I have absolutely loved copilot so far. I especially love how fast it handles indexing complex n-dimensional arrays, which I'm really bad at. I also feel like often pushes me to more formal solutions instead of hacking. I'd estima

I would not, no. I fail to see how that matters though. I would definitely leave this company if I was forced into a remote setting. I would go find another job. I would also take pay cut for keeping an office.

Seems like airgradient has one https://www.airgradient.com/airgradient-one/ There's no pricing though and it looks like it's tied to subscription software.

I assume that this is the CCP asking apple to do this or get banned from China. What should apple do instead? I'm curious what people think, it's a tough spot to be in obviously.

Eh, fashion is usually very cyclical. At some point, people will get tired of this and things will trend the other way. Same way as 90s-00s clothing is very popular these days.

I love to cook, but this view is incredibly condescending. People have busy lives, you don't know what some internet person's life is like. I know a lot of people that simply don't enjoy cooking.

Or another way to think about it: It's quite hard to build something with great usability but also a high degree of privacy and security. Especially when users are used to products, that on paper offer the same while being a lot simple
