I've actually been thinking about moving out recently and have been looking at 2 bedroom places, or 1 bedroom + den because I can rent out the other room on AirBNB. Rent in Yaletown (downtown Vancouver) is outrageous, but renting out the ot

Totally agree with you. When me and my buddies are working on new (hobby) projects, we usually do our quick prototyping using something like CodeIgniter. It's fast and lets us have something out within hours vs. days. A lot of these framewo

Standard practice? There are an insane amount of bad web designers then. I have NEVER dealt with a designer that knew anything worthwhile SEO-wise - other than simple stuff like adding meta keywords and descriptions. (the design equivalent

I found this post funny because I was in this situation yesterday. I'm trying to explain that I'm an SEO, and then I have to tell them what SEOs do, then they ask for tips, etc. Next time I'm playing unemployed.

Ditto. Got 10 tabs in Chrome and 10 tabs in Safari all running at 1ms. Using ~60% CPU. I'll let it run for the next 4-5hrs until I go to work. Good luck.

Well this scratches LSD off the things for me to try. My dad was diagnosed with schizophrenia quite a few years ago, which would mean I'm predisposed to it? Not sure how much genetics play a role into getting schizophrenia.

The only way I can see this is when talking about Firefox. I have built stuff using Safari and when I test it out in FF my padding is off by like 5 px or something silly. Using another browser like IE usually breaks the whole thing.

The problem is that most people just see it as another ~$100 they'll have to spend to upgrade, and that isn't worth it to most. I think it's worth the upgrade, but 90% of my family doesn't and I'll need to upgrade them with a pirated versio

Coca leaves != Cocaine You don't get 'high' from drinking Maté de coca, it actually has less of an effect than coffee. There are a lot of chemicals and processing that go into making cocaine - it's not just coca leaves. http://www.cocaine.

Here in Canada (west coast) it's usually around $80/g (cdn). This number obviously fluctuates based on quality, dealer, etc.

Does Mosso cloud mix into Rackspace? I've been quite happy with my Mosso Xen VPS. I pay like $26/mo. for my 512MB VPS. It's $0.03/hr which is $21.90/mo. but you pay $0.22/GB out, and $0.08/GB in. I don't use a whole lot of bandwidth though.

The copyright stuff bothers me the most. Why can't they get Canada-focused Hulu ads for example? Or the ability to stream music in Pandora outside the US?
