This reminds me of a bad vuln in Drupal years ago (2014, I think?). Alot of people think Acquia, being started by the creator of Drupal, has special control of the open source project, but at the end of the day they really don't have t

Gene Kim talks about Rickover quite a bit on the Idealcast podcast. This episode[1] with Michael Nygard has a great story where he shares a memo that Rickover wrote to the representatives that he had at contractor sites. (The context is peo

I'm really surprised more people don't know about the Powell memo, considering it literally describes the headlines we're seeing in the news now, attacks against higher education as 'liberal indoctrination' are all

Doesn't matter if it's widely known, it honestly is much nicer to work with than Javascript and is being used as it is intended, instead of being a half-baked language designed in a hurry, to work in a browser, that got repurposed

Both deaths were folks growing their own cannabis, and they were handling the fertilizer directly. Not linked to product contamination in any way. > The spores they inhaled were in fecal matter they had used or planned to use to fertiliz

An example might be railroads putting a derailer at the bottom of a hill to protect industry or businesses. The derailer is removed when servicing the line, but put back to protect the end of the line industry from run-away cars. Conclusion

I believe they just don't market them there, probably not interested in confirming to all the different regulations for different markets, etc. I know some folks have imported them, but I don't think they are sold directly. I thin

I'm still on Pixelmator classic 3.9 (it's what I have a license for) and it's great. Does everything I need easily as a casual user, and it hasn't changed in years! I've never even thought about upgrading.

I dunno, I thought "sherlocking" wouldn't be a thing if they acquired instead of duplicating their solution in-house, but it's the same effect, just more equitable to the original creators.
