At work we squash and use standard-version to create a generic change log, then have a script that ingests that change log and goes to the PR to grab any associated tickets, screenshots, and release notes the developer may have written. The

I'm not sure what constitutes "flickering" on X11, but it's really not hard to find examples of it happening to people that aren't using Nvidia.

This seems like a weird half-step between "headerbars" / client side decorations / hamburger menus. KDE Maui is going that direction: https://mauikit.org/apps/ Sadly it just seems to be more like a

I'm not seeing a lot of "good criticisms" here. Just the typical HN curmudgeons complaining about things that were introduced half a decade ago being too new.

Yup! I'm aware, it's mostly an exercise I wrote after trying RTK. It's a combination of two other Redux helpers I've been using for years before RTK existed. All mentioned in the "see also" section.

I'm not familiar with the development process of curl (but I did recently listen to Daniel's interview on the foss pod). But seeing that GitHub is used, would branch protection help?

They are shown inline but they don't play automatically. But they do let the reviewer pause and rewind to see something they've missed, rather than sit there and wait to hopefully catch what they missed.

Gitlab and GitHub both let you upload videos (and probably more). I still use ffmpeg to convert .mov to .mp4 to get a better file size. But either run circles around the quality and size of .gif

Note it does take up a fair amount of room on the server. Mine is clocking in at 1.1GB. Oh wait, glad I checked because ~800MB of that is just old versions of the server.
