Then don’t believe it and go on with your day. No one owes you a link to anything, especially if you simply don’t pay attention to Amazon’s widely-reported business practices.

I'm sure Apple appreciates the advice, especially considering how few people buy their pricey phones and accessories. C'mon, this is the same company that sells a $230 sock for your phone. And they sold out of the first batch. App

This was addressed in the post, I'm sure you just missed it when you read it: "But a few days ago they removed ALL search functions for any books with previews, which are disproportionately modern books ." <emphasis mine&

If it weren't for the opening sentence, I'd swear this comment was meant to be sarcastic. So now I'm left with the question of how the hell someone could post this with a straight face.

What do you think is inside their heat exchangers but metal and water? It's a bad idea to drink hot water from the tap because of the concentration of metals that accumulate in the water heater. Don't assume that a little metal

It’s gray water, and just as how I can’t dump gray water from my RV camper into the river, neither can a data center. After running through a heat exchanger there can be all kinds of crap in that water.

Could America engineer an aquaduct from the great lakes to california? Good luck with that: “we mismanaged our water supply, and now we are coming for yours.” That, and the number of agreements and treaties with Canada concerning the Grea

Nothing in the TV show takes place in the 20th century, either. The aesthetic in Fallout is what people in the 50s might have thought the year 2073 would be like, but it is not the 50s.

Of the $250 of a water bill on Seattle’s Eastside, about $50 of it is something I can do anything about (use less water). The rest is fixed costs even if I never use a drop. It isn’t hard to imagine that California isn’t much different.

Yeah, if you actually want to heat the house with fire you’ll want an insert or a wood stove. Otherwise most fireplaces in most houses are decorative, and one pays for that decoration with heat loss.

It's unlikely that we will exceed 100Gb/month in the camper. But if we do, it's either slow speeds, or pay $165/month for unlimited roam every single month we use it , versus paying a little extra for the few times we g

I want the old plan back. If we went over the 50Gb/month, there was the option of continuing on at $1/Gb, which is the same price per Gb as the base plan. IOW, they didn't punish you for going over. Now if we go over, it'
