The lawyer contacted me and asked if they could have the domain (and hinted that they would be willing to pay or trade tickets/merchandise). I just gave it to him. There was never any inkling of strong arming or a forceful shut down on th

I have experience with this. When the whole Conan O'Brien cancelation fiasco was going on, I registered teamconan.com and teamleno.com because I saw that phrasing in a TMZ poll and they were still available. My friend and I threw together a

Yeah, but unfortunately if it is time sensitive, the approval process required by the Apple market is a huge hinderance.

This is the perfect intersection between pretty crafty and annoying as hell. It might be stronger if you could play the first 5 minutes and then prompt for the tweet to see the rest of the video.

I'm disappointed this wasn't a 9-0 decision. I'm also disappointed it had to go to the supreme court. These protesters are clearly assholes, but freedom of speech is absolute.

Wasn't familiar the story but after Google + skimming it: Don't use the word stealing, its not accurate. You are providing a service+product that some people find valuable and they are paying you for it. I honestly don't see the controver

Yeah, the jumping is definitely jarring. Are you able to reserve a space outside of the map that is dedicated to displaying friend thumbnails? You could update that section with new thumbnails when the mouse hovers over one of the nav mark

Cool, thanks for the clarification. I checked it out and its pretty cool, It looks pretty complete as far as my friends list goes and definitely accurate. The one suggestion I'd make is to see what you can do as far as adding more to the l

Anonymous message boards can be fun sites but I'm not exactly sure this in itself could really be considered a startup. Is there something I'm missing?

This reeks of "I hear the word singularity one time and I really really want to use it in a headline." TechCrunch should stick to covering Apple rumors/VC beefs and leave the discussion of science/philosophy to someone more qualified.
