At first the CPU was beating me as it could jump around to get more of the balls returned, but once it was thick enough I pulled ahead as I seemed better able to aim for returning the big clusters.

My question is more about the transitions— how much of a bother it would be to get the pantograph up and down. Like, would you want the 20-30% of the electrified line to be a single continuous section down the middle of it, or can you have

Isn't JWST mostly about infrared though? That's the reason it has to be at L2, because those measurements are so much more sensitive to interference. These new Io images are in the visible spectrum, so it might be more apt to comp

I wonder how seamless the transition is— the setting depicted looks like a commuter rail setup where I would imagine it's fairly lengthy runs of powered vs unpowered. Waterloo Region built an urban light rail [1] system ten years ago a

IMO it hurts developer productivity more than performance, because it introduces indirection and potentially unhelpful abstractions that can obscure what is actually going on and make it harder to understand the code. In raw performance thi

Python has this in a slightly different spot. Most pypi packages have the name and module aligned but it’s only a matter of convention, and there are some common deviations like the pyyaml package providing the yaml module.
