This reminds me of a demo I saw Billy Hoffman[1] do a while back at a conference. He demonstrated a way of embedding whitespace in a forum post that is mapped to a malicious JS method injected via XSS. The point was to circumvent HTML sanit

This is certainly useful, but I wish there was a way to edit posts that have been shared with me. History would be nice too, IMHO.

PHP is very much akin to C. I wouldn't categorize it w/Ruby or Lisp.

My eval tests said the same. I'm not sure if thats indicative of a host-specific performance problem or if it is with eval itself. Perhaps the problem I have is with this statement: > "Eval is evil", or in other words, Eval is too slow

I agree with you on both points, but I do very much remember when my iPhone 3G was pretty much EOL'd with the iOS4 upgrade.

Your second point struck me as well. Not only does the grammar seem completely odd at times, but the whole thing seems a bit dodgy. Is there any official download to this file on the FBI's website?

To that point, I'd venture so far to say that 80% of the points on this list are sound security practices that good businesses and freelancers should be doing.

Yes, this is a very nice feature. I noticed that mine was autodetected incorrectly[1] but just for shiggles I changed the extension to `.js`[2] and it highlighted properly. [1]: http://hastebin.com/qumirixiqo.lisp [2]: http://hastebin.co

Perhaps this is in response to Ghandi's similar offer? Who cares though, I'm happy to see them compete for such a great cause.

I think part of that has to do with their SLA, which IMHO has always kept them back a few years. I don't know if Ubuntu is pushing the "enterprise" thing like RH does, but that is one of the unfortunate things that come with that territory.

Can anyone verify this is happening to them? I know that some TLD's have specific transfer requirements (like .org IIRC). Edit: More info is here in the discussion: http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/nuza8/godaddy_go...

I find it interesting that you bring up Balsamiq. It was my switch from Mockingbird to Balsamiq that triggered my weariness that AndrewDucker points out. Free services are quite nice, and I make great use of them (Wave Accounting, and TeamL

I used to be WAMP/MAMP but since have switched over to Zend Server (Community Edition). It is a bit more technical, but I find it to fit my needs a little better. My only complaint w/ZS is the odd default of port 10088 for the httpd server.

It depends on which part of the server you're speaking about. Python and Ruby are fantastic for shell scripting, but I've always found myself gravitating towards PHP for web application development -- but that's only a personal preference.

Good point. I suppose that given that there is considerably more competition these days and that IE 6 left them with a bit of an unfavorable reputation, they should be happy. Things like this are certainly in their best interest.

I think perhaps it is a "too big to fail" kind of situation. If the judge rules against UMG, it would still be business as usual after the dust settles. Contrast this to if a startup were to pull a stunt like this... I'd guess that you woul
